FM200 Fire Suppression System
The FM200 fire suppression system is a waterless fire suppression system that is released into the threat within 10 seconds and rapidly suppresses the flames. It is a chemical-based fire extinguishing gas that works by eliminating free radicals and heat components from the fire triangle (oxygen, heat, and fuel).
The minuscule amount of agent required to suppress the fire is one of the benefits of FM200 Firefighting Systems. It can quickly put out any combustible, electrical, or flammable liquid fires before they spread and cause considerable damage. This results in fewer cylinders and less wasted space for FM200 cylinder storage.
Novec Fire Suppression System
Our Novec Fire Suppression System is a non-toxic fire extinguishing chemical that was created as a halon and hydrofluorocarbon substitute. It contains Novec1230 fluid, which among all clean agents, including inert gas, has the largest margin of safety for human occupancy. The fluid has a global warming potential of 1, which is 99.9% lower than any other halocarbon agent, and no risk for ozone destruction.
Novec fluid from JDS prevents a fire from starting by instantly eliminating all heat. The fluid is held as a liquid in cylinders and compressed with nitrogen in a standard complete flooding system. When the fire is in its early stages, the automated detecting sensors discharge the fluid, which extinguishes it in a matter of seconds.
